With more than 10 years teaching singers of all ages in all sorts of genres Romana Carén has become one of Austria´s most sought after vocal coaches.
She was Austria´s first certified Speech Level SingingTM Instructor and built the foundation stone for Speech Level Singing in Austria.
For several years she organized advanced education events with the most experienced Speech Level Singing instructors to introduce the technique to singers and singing instructors in central Europe.
In 2006 she left the Speech Level Singing organisation to focus on her own projects.
From 2007 to 2010 she taught singing at the prestigious Schauspielakademie Elfriede Ott (Academy of Dramatic Arts Elfriede Ott) in Vienna. Based on her own experience as an actress she found it particularly interesting to work intensively with aspiring actors.
Based on her studies on the natural function of the voice and the body, voice science and different methods that are used in actor´s training she has developed a method that gives singers and actors the foundation to sing healthily with a strong voice and perform confidently and convincingly.
